I've had one since they released and I dont know that I've opened it up in about 2 years πŸ˜…
    Aaron Parecki
I also haven't used mine all that much, but I will say the times I have used it I definitely would not have been able to rig up any other green screen.

I made a video about how much I like the GoPro 10 and it taught me that people really LOVE to hate GoPros. 😬

(Whether or not their opinions are based in reality)
    Aaron Parecki
I both love and hate the GoPro 10

Haha what does that tell you about people :D Does this mean people click on your referral link to get to the Amazon product page (of whatever you're referring) but then they just wander off to buy something else, right?
    Aaron Parecki
    Yep exactly πŸ’―

Interesting! That makes sense. Do you get to know which products were sold with your affiliate code? This way you could check if this is the case or not.
    Aaron Parecki
On Amazon yes. What's interesting tho is how many unrelated products people buy when there's also a big launch. It's not just a bump in referrals on the new product!

Fellow YouTubers, have you noticed your affiliate sales trending downwards for the last several months? Trying to figure out if it's a widespread trend or something broken on my end. Thanks! πŸ€“πŸ™
    Aaron Parecki
Yes, but mine tends to correlate with product launches and there have been fewer in my niche the last few months so I'm not surprised.

Thoughts on Best VPN and why?
    Aaron Parecki
The best VPN is the one I run from my house 😊

But for real it totally depends on what your goal of using the VPN is. I use it to access my studio gear remotely, and when I'm on sketchy public WiFi

@aaronpk hey, is there a spec for the format of an Okta client secret? A customer wants to know how to store them. Are they guaranteed 40 characters of alphanumeric ASCII?

    Aaron Parecki
There is actually! It's between 10-100 chars

    What a good question!

I don't know if I *need* anything as old as 10 years, but I nevertheless keep backups of all old accounts. My preferred tool these days is "offlineimap" which makes it easy to keep email on file.
    Aaron Parecki
That's a good idea, I'm going to give that a try

This probably isn't for everyone but I purge everything older than 7 years, and I've stopped using labels altogether. It's either in my inbox, or archived and I search for it. Actually I do still have one label, for @idpro_org.
    Aaron Parecki
At this point my main use of labels is the auto labeling rules I set up so that my inbox is color coded based on the project

@aaronpk I have carefully downloaded folders and removed them from my SMTP server at this age. Turns out I have never searched such backups. Not even once. So deletion sounds like the way to go.

    Aaron Parecki
yeah exactly, my reason for keeping them is that I might want to be able to search them later. I'd say I've found value in some ~5 year old search results, but stuff from before 2010 is from a whole different world at this point.

Hypothetically, if you wanted to keep them but didn’t want them cluttering your primary Gmail you could dump them into a new Gmail account.
    Aaron Parecki
That's something I hadn't considered... like forwarding them all? Or is there some way to move them between accounts that I don't know.

I mean I assume pro stands for "Getting paid to use this" 🀣
    Aaron Parecki
I thought "pro" was short for "prosumer" -- a professional consumer

I'm seeing a lot of weird push back on folks buying the new MacBooks.

    Businesses need tools right?

I assume you dont run up to your mechanic and berate them for buying an expensive lift when you take your car in for service?
    Aaron Parecki
Apple sells them as lifestyle purchases, so I think what people are actually upset about is that someone else gets to buy that lifestyle that isn't them.
