Who can honestly say they haven’t flown internationally for a relaxing holiday since March?
    Aaron Parecki
I haven't even left my home city since March

I can tell you Curtis that I have reported my stolen videos with THEIR affiliate links to Amazon and each time Amazon has sided with me, the creator of the original video and closed those other affiliate accounts. Copyright video theft is a real concern for Amazon
    Aaron Parecki
The problem here is he is technically writing original content (summary of the video in his own words) and he's embedding the real YouTube video, so there's no intellectual property theft which would otherwise be an easy case to close.

Interesting. That could hold some promise. Not playing fair, that's for sure.
    Aaron Parecki
yeah, kind of a terrible situation because if he's acting like that the only way to fight it is to convince Amazon or a court that he's wrong

How long until the pendulum swings back the other way and we start seeing "creator edition" laptops that include a built in HDMI capture card 🤣

He's not budging after talking with Iddo. His YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/LensVid He says that this is simply how the Internet game is played. He claims that Amazon Affiliates would have no reason to shut down his account as he's done nothing wrong.
    Aaron Parecki
Here's one from the associates policies:

"(r) You will not attempt to intercept or redirect ... traffic from or on, or divert commission income from, any site that participates in the Associates Program"

Thanks. (Occurred to me right away that I should have been more specific). Running out of ATEM Mini Pro, and trying to split the output between a Samsung 1080p TV and a Viewsonic 1080p monitor. Love the live stream.
    Aaron Parecki
Thanks! I've heard lots of reports of HDMI splitters not working with the ATEM HDMI output. I think your best bet is to use an active device like the MD-HX https://geni.us/41upBQ

The Big Sur auto-hidden document-proxy icon is so frustrating — it hides functionality behind an invisible mode, and introduces a delay for anyone trying to use it.

    How does this help usability?

    What problem does this solve?

Is anyone empowered at Apple to ask these questions?
    Aaron Parecki
Oh no! This is a huge part of my daily workflow and actually a huge advantage over Windows!

@aaronpk Hey, Aaron: Which HDMI splitter would you recommend? Just got one, but it doesn’t work. Thanks.
    Aaron Parecki
Depends on what it's for. The one I've been recommending for using with a ChromeCast I think is changed now so I need to go dig up a new source for that though.

I guess my problem with it is there is no way you can know more than the execs at those companies, and if you did, that would be insider trading. The fact that insider trading is a term means you have to be operating on speculation by definition.
    Aaron Parecki
Sure it's a little better than blind luck, but plenty of people will argue that certain forms of gambling require skill or knowledge that can be learned too.

    I've never suggested otherwise.
But I think the gambling analogy, while popular is overplayed. The simple fact is that if you have an understanding of what you're looking at you can make educated assumptions. That's not the same as relying on luck.

Like I said its not my advice and I'm not the one that has to live with it.

I'd probably wait on giving financial advice until we see how the markets react to the President of the United States contracting a devastating virus.
    Aaron Parecki
Yeah tbh buying individual stocks isn't an investment strategy, it's gambling. It's fine if you know that going in, but suggesting otherwise is irresponsible.
