These sexually explicit YouTube bot comments are so out of control that it makes one want to shut off comments or not even comment on anyone's video. It's SO BAD right now.

They're all the same message too, I thought Google was good at detecting spam.

Let me reiterate that this was indoors. In a well-sealed house. Now imagine the air outside.

thing I learned... a well-sealed house isn’t actually well sealed if you’re forcing air from inside to outside. I woulda had a better day or two if I had not run the AC as much and just let the inside air sit still.

I wouldn't have survived college without those cheap burnable CD-ROMs. You'd buy 10 packs of Zip drives in bulk and every single one on the pack would fail.

I owned a zip drive for a hot second. CDRWs ended up being far cheaper and better.

In 1982, the Commodore64 cost an inflation-adjusted $1,600 - and had 64KB of RAM.

A compact disc outputs 176KB. Per second.

The CD is basically a temporal aberration and should not have existed at all.

In the grand scheme of things, the CD barely did exist at all

For me it’s a few things.

Screenshots are easier to take and archive.

Files are easier to transfer between devices.

iMessage means I don’t need to check my phone.

Screen recordings are MUCH easier to do.

This sums up my feelings exactly.

I have cables in cardboard box, every time I need one and I suspect it's there, I reorder from Amazon anyway because it takes too long to find a cable in pile of cables 😅

I think you may underestimate how many types of cables I have... USB A, micro USB, USB-C with data, C with thunderbolt 3, lightning, lightning to micro, long, short... etc

Finally canceled my Netflix DVD subscription. Packing that last DVD in the return envelope makes me a little nostalgic. I’ll probably never do that again.

I am missing sth. or isn't it simply possible to use GitHub as AuthProvider for different services running under different domains?
Because homepage in profile is the only one to support "rel=me" and can point this way only to one domain.

The rel=me link from github isn't really required tbh, because at the end of the day the app needs to use the GitHub API so it can do fancier verification. For example this is how I support GitHub with multiple domains https://indielogin.com/setup#multiple-domains

What tool does one use to “list” their podcasts in centralized directories (like Apple’s or Spotify’s gated one?) - I’m going to host my own feed but discoverability is a thing.

With Apple you submit your feed directly to their website. Not sure about Spotify. There are probably services that offer to do it for you but I'd avoid those. Add it to the podcast directories yourself.
