I'm more curious about the network connection. You can get 4K video from a webcam nowadays, it's getting it to it's destination without delays or degradation that's usually the problem.
a webcam, even a 4K one, is never going to look as good as a camera with a real lens

No not for me, itβs a fine camera but Iβm starting to get to the point where I prefer certain color sciences because they just work without much effort.

Ok just made a pretty sizeable camera/lens purchase so it might be time to unload some other gear.
Iβm going to take today to come up with what Iβm selling so be prepared for a fire sale in the next day or two.
Dropping a BMPCC4K perhaps? The updated ATEM Mini software has me wanting one, but not at the full price! -

And, regarding your new studio setup: I had to freeze frame and investigate. I recognized it immediately as the *same dang thing* I want to do in my home studio after Iβve finished the remodel!

@aaronpk hey, saw your video on the DIY multiview solution for the ATEM mini. Will try to do that myself. Saw some other content where colors looked bad, maybe the multiviewers fault, maybe the splitters. Have you had inconsistencies? Anything noteworthy?
I was having some weird colors going through some splitters, depending on the HDMI source too. But in any case it's all irrelevant because Blackmagic just announced the ATEM Mini Pro with multiview built in! -

I now have a battery-powered, Wi-Fi connected, Siri-enabled digital status sign on my office door. I'll post some pictures, videos, and details later, but its pretty awesome to be able to say "Hey Siri, don't bother daddy!" π π»ββοΈ

I probably could have made it work, but it was a lot easier to do it server side especially cause then I can make changes without re-flashing the firmware. -

Not really full pictures, but there are some lines and background colors. It's more like I didn't want to deal with parsing the JSON response and the text/graphics libraries in the limited esp32 environment.
