Welp it filled up back here, oh well. I'm not super familiar with the SAS seating assignment process, so I guess several rows of empty seats during checkin yesterday was not an indicator of an empty flight.

aaaaand I am on the plane! Boarding group A so I'm the first one into the back half of the plane! 😅

Now I just cross my fingers that the seats next to me haven't been claimed in the last 24 hours and this will be a pleasant 12hr flight.

That was fast. Made it to the gate, sadly no time for coffee.

Made it thru security and gained 10 minutes because we board 50 minutes before takeoff not 60.

Now 6 actual minutes til boarding. Gotta get thru passport control first

Finally got a boarding pass, 10 minutes til boarding!

at least they finally brought a second person over to work the ticket counter now. 27 minutes to boarding

While it was fun, I maybe shouldn't have spent an hour riding the new city loop automated train in Copenhagen this morning. Now I have only 45 minutes til boarding and the checkin line is really long.

So if you accidentally switch to emoji keyboard while typing fast you'll then inadvertently add an emoji. You then want to delete said emoji, so you tap where the delete key just was — but it's moved, so you add another emoji!!

Want: An audio mixer, explicitly NOT for recording studio or stage use, but rather for mixing multiple stereo audio sources on my desk (PC, Mac, Alexa, etc.) into a single stream to be fed into desktop speakers. Minimal/no knobs preferred. Does something like that even exist?

Finally I have restored my database, as I bought a SATA cable. Sorry for the radio silence, I hope your readers won't overflow!

#postmortem TL;DR: tried to disassemble my server, fried the BIOS, too lazy to bring it to service center and all my data was locked up on a HDD to which I couldn't connect. But I bought a SATA cable and heroically retrieved the database.

Even shorter TL;DR: you need a backup off-site. I'll probably set up a cron job that will send the DB dump to a remote server.

Wear headphones. Drink heavily.

Cool, that's worth a try. That said, I only have the server running locally at the moment so I'm guessing that won't work. Thanks again for the help, though.

I have a GraphQL server (Prisma) and I'm sending the auth code there. Then, on that server, I'm trying to validate the auth code with Apple. Once it validates, I'd either be creating a user and sending a session token back or signing a user in by sending back a session token.

There is a noticeable lag but just having a second window to hold non-priority screens is awesome.

Today during lunch I'm trying to finish the edit for Friday's video as I've got a pretty busy week ahead.

And I'll tell you what, MacOS side car basically gives you dual screen capability that fits in your backpack.

It's going to change how I travel.
