I have been buildling a microsub server. It's not perfect, but it works. It works with Monocle. The code is open source and can be found on Github here: https://github.com/pstuifzand/microsub-server/
But sadly it seems I can't use my own authorization endpoint. It can't be found. It did work when I used indieauth.com for authorization.
    Aaron Parecki
Amazing!! ๐Ÿ‘ Happy to talk through the IndieAuth stuff to get that working for you! Feel free to drop into the chat! https://indieweb.org/discuss

๐Ÿ˜ฑI forgot that webmention.io doesn't store the raw XRay result and apparently it has never stored the photo property for webmentions??

That's very strange since webmention.io uses XRay to get that data!

It's my super in-development IndieWeb reader, so I haven't done much in the way of docs or screenshots yet. I'm working on a summary post right now though!

@scottstephens It turns out after categorizing posts for 16 years, I'm not convinced that's such an important feature anymore. We'll likely have some form of categories or tags eventually, though.

    Aaron Parecki
I like tags, both automatically extracted from hashtags in the post or added separately, but haven't found a need for categories. I've been tagging my posts for years, and now have fun tag pages like https://aaronparecki.com/tag/microblog

Welcome to the bleeding edge! I tend to take a pragmatic approach to writing specs. Don't put something in the spec til there's a demonstrated need for it. Would love to start brainstorming this here: https://github.com/indieweb/micropub-extensions/issues

@danielpunkass it has an editing context, but I think you are right that it doesnโ€™t support a generic way to retrieve a list of all past posts. @aaronpk does that sound right to you?

    Aaron Parecki
I wouldn't say it's "not supported" so much as hasn't been spec'd yet. Most of the clients so far are posting clients not editing clients. I would love to see that part of the spec fleshed out tho!

Thanks! My current Macbook has a iCore 7 and Thunderbolt ports, but my next Macbook will only have USB-C. I'm getting an AGPteK http://amzn.to/2oWWGsN on loan for the weekend but may order one of these solutions soon.
    Aaron Parecki
Only the 15" Pro has a quad core CPU so that's the only one the Elgato will work on. Can confirm it does not work on a 13" Pro. Your best bet would probably be to get a USB-C to Thunderbolt converter and the Blackmagic.

@aaronpk Any recommendations for streaming HDMI (Sony Handycam) to USB3.0 & OBS that doesn't cost more than $150? I want to stream paintings and other creative endeavors but the iPhone is too limited on focal range.
    Aaron Parecki
Do you have Thunderbolt? This is the best if so: http://amzn.to/2FvbepG Otherwise you're going to need a quad-core CPU and then you can use http://amzn.to/2oXJ0Oh

    OpenID != Open ID Connect?
Just learning about authentication, OAuth, and OpenID Connect and purchased your book!
    Aaron Parecki
Thanks! OpenID Connect is actually OAuth 2 plus an identity layer, and has nothing to do with OpenID 1. While useful, OIDC doesn't solve the same bring-your-own-identity goals that OpenID 1 did.

@aaronpk no need to apologise, it's amazing and hope to be able to contribute. I'm not sure about the Notifications channel is that specifically to set up feeds you want alerts from like social mentions etc? So can I set up a feed that needs an Auth token passed in the header?

    Aaron Parecki
That's the idea yeah! Still very much in the works, and I'm experimenting with a few different ways of handling it. Right now I have my webmentions going into that channel. It would be totally appropriate if you wanted to add a private feed into that channel!
