@aaronpk hmm, I just read your link and it looks like FTP support is also going away. It does mention an EyeFi cloud product though ...

@aaronpk I wrote a fake FTP server so I could get webhooks from an @EyefiCard: https://github.com/jpf/ftp-to-s3
    Aaron Parecki
@jf That is kind of great! Looks like they're pushing everyone to the Mobi thing, hopefully that still supports FTP

@aaronpk La Bonita at 29th and Alberta. If you look closely you'll see a framed cover of Map Scripting 101. Thanks for remembering!

@adamd That's what it was! I need to find something like that to finish my book.

Seeing a lot of demand for "publish elsewhere, save on your own site" vs "publish on your own site, syndicate elsewhere". #indieweb
    Aaron Parecki
@benwerd I'm guessing because the publishing tools elsewhere are often very good. With Micropub, the publishing tools for publishing on your own site can become just as good! #indieweb

@aaronpk if your allergies are that bad you should consider getting tested. Desensitization therapy can be very effective
    Aaron Parecki
@isaac32767 Yeah that's basically what I did to myself by eating tons of local honey all winter like 7 years ago. I think it wore off.

What's your favorite abstraction for persisting data on the client? localForage, pouchdb, level.js, __something else__ ? #lazydevtweet
    Aaron Parecki
@HenrikJoreteg I had a good experience with localforage recently!

    +1 to this!

Also note that the ordering inside the GeoJSON response is `[longitude, latitude]` as well (assuming you're adding GeoJSON from the matt.sh version https://matt.sh/redis-geo#_geojson-results). Since these values aren't named, a common source of errors and confusion is developers swapping the order of the two values. Sticking with the standard longitude, latitude ordering makes everything consistent that way.

I'm definitely excited to see this in Redis core!

@aaronpk I love HWC, but in practice, I think it's more technical. We tend to sit around talking about practical things we've built.

@tarr11 ah yeah I've seen that one before. It's a spam wordpress blog that pulls new articles from hackernews. It actually sent you a pingback. You can remove the pingback tag and still receive webmentions for now. Of course that isn't really solving the spam problem, just putting it off until later. See http://indiewebcamp.com/vouch for some thoughts on preventing the expected upcoming webmention spam.
