@aaronpk wondered about this message. Security concern? Or just DHCP messing up?
    Aaron Parecki
@ndwpdx Just DHCP messing up. For some reason the router decided to give the IP address to another device while my laptop was out, and then when my laptop came back it requested the old IP again and didn't get it. I'm not really sure why OSX can't just "forget" the other address and re-request a new address.

@panic Awesome! Filled out the thing but it didn't like me entering "4" in the "how many devices" question.

Does anyone know what the requirements/server load are for running PostGIS with a low amount of data and traffic? /cc @doclements @aaronpk
    Aaron Parecki
@ShaneHudson I run a DB on a t1.micro and an m1.small. They are not super high traffic tho.

@aaronpk Apple really has not sunset Wifi. They are still (for the most part) broadcasting the WiFi Mac Address. http://www.imore.com/closer-look-ios-8s-mac-randomization
    Aaron Parecki
@jvreeland Regardless of what's actually happening, it was enough to cause this company to switch to iBeacon, which is the important part.

@kylewm.com Now I am also considering new permalinks, /YYYY/MM/DD/N and /YYYY/MM/DD/N-slug, I still like the way I handle slugs where they are purely descriptive and so the slug-less URL will always redirect to the current slug so I can update the slug later if I want.

@aaronpk what I use with my atem is a BMD hdmi to SDI converter. It has 1/4 jacks on it too. I use one of the atem vid inputs for prog audio
    Aaron Parecki
@alexhackney interesting idea, guess that would work too.

@aaronpk on the audio conversion post from your website. What about the behringer src2496?
    Aaron Parecki
@alexhackney That was actually the first one I tried. The problem is that it's like 10x the size of the ATEM switcher, which seems silly since it's only doing audio. I'm gonna try it with the half-rack Scarlett since that way I at least get more types of inputs and outputs.
