@kchrist what do you think of The Victory?
    Aaron Parecki
@twaddington I know I'm not @kchrist, but: the Victory is nice but super loud, difficult to hold a conversation.

I really wish WordPress 3 was RC already. Working with 2.9.2 really sucks after having worked with the 3.0 beta.
    Aaron Parecki
@michaelowens Just get 3.0 from the svn trunk. I'm running it on a couple sites right now. It's great!

.@googleanalytics Anyone else showing no Google Analytic stats from yesterday? Happening across multiple accounts.
    Aaron Parecki
@Periscopic You're not the only one! All of my accounts show 0 traffic for May 6th!

I have a theory: Writers pay attention to lyrics more than designers do. And that's why I can't listen to music when I'm writing. T/F?
    Aaron Parecki
@lauramwebster I can't listen to music with lyrics when I'm writing code, but I can when I'm doing Photoshop work.

    Aaron Parecki
@asp55 haha, I was just thinking that the other day!

@aaronpk The last straw was how they may add information to your profile (and make it public) based on what you like and your status updates
    Aaron Parecki
@Bishma Didn't realize they'd do that based on status updates too...that's kind of lame.

@aaronpk I want to, but am caught by the "there are friends and family I want to keep up with who only use facebook" trap.
    Aaron Parecki
@TheBon Yea, that's the reason I haven't deleted it completely.

    @aaronpk #osx 1) Mail.app, 2) Time Machine, 3) Native VNC (not sure how RDP compares), 4) Apache built-in, 5) It's not windows :-)
    Aaron Parecki
@lvidmar Thanks! imo RDP is better than VNC, and xampplite is pretty solid for running Apache on Windows.

Facebook account deactivated. Love how they tried to guilt trip me. "Look at all the people who will miss you." I'll be back when it's safe.
    Aaron Parecki
@Bishma Congrats! I all but deactivated my FB account, it now has almost no information and shows a "contact me by email" message.

@aaronpk Ah, I don't use an IDE - I use gEdit with a ton of plugins. Just feels snappier to me :) And I've never liked java based apps...
    Aaron Parecki
@TechWraith Yea I normally don't like Java apps either, but Aptana does a really good job at not feeling like a Java app. Crossplatform too!

  • Daniel and 10 others https://twitter.com/techwraith   •   May 6
@aaronpk More: Easy themeing (not really daily, but nice), one click download and install of software, and a good text editor.
    Aaron Parecki
@TechWraith Easy install would be nice. I use Aptana as an editor which can open files over SFTP so I stopped needing to mount SFTP folders.

@aaronpk you mean besides a unix OS under the hood? ;)
    Aaron Parecki
@xolotl Yea that's good, but the only way that really affects my day-to-day use is by providing a native SSH/SCP client.

What is the future of PCs in the age of the iPad? #insightipad
    Aaron Parecki
@joshmarinacci The iPad isn't a replacement for a PC, they are both useful in different contexts. #insightipad

@aaronpk hrm I have no duplicate tokens stored in the dBase if that's what you mean.
    Aaron Parecki
@brennannovak I meant duplicate entries in the Twitter connections list

  • Brennan Novak https://twitter.com/brennannovak   •   May 4
Why does the @twitter side oAuth ask every time u hit the end point to "allow" connection? Wouldn't be better if it auto detected existing?
    Aaron Parecki
@brennannovak Do you see duplicate entries for your app in http://twitter.com/settings/connections? Might not be passing the right tokens.

    Aaron Parecki
@brennannovak Ouch! Where'd you find a rock in your food? Let me know so I don't eat there!
