Who is deleting their Facebook account now that Google Buzz has arrived?
    Aaron Parecki
@justinkistner There are still too many disparate networks, and my social circle is spread out across them all. I'll leave FB up.

@iamkendal It's kind of a security risk, if sensitive data transmitted through Twitter DMs+Tweetdeck displays for everyone to see.
    Aaron Parecki
@caseorganic You can configure the notification options per column - different settings for DMs than all friends timeline, etc.

@kchrist, @aaronpk, @lvidmar but have any of you ever received spam from publishing your email on your site?
    Aaron Parecki
@twaddington i'm not sure how much spam is a result of publishing my address, but gmail filters everything out 99.9% perfectly.

  • Nick https://twitter.com/nickcummings   •   Feb 5
@twaddington I'm sure most crawlers can parse those sorts of things by now, so what's a more secure way to list an email address online?
    Aaron Parecki
@nickcummings I've seen people write something like "email 'aaron' at the domain you're looking at"
    Fri, Feb 5, 2010 9:06pm +00:00
  • Tristan 🌧 https://twitter.com/twaddington   •   Feb 5
Why do people still insist on posting their emails as "something [at] domain [dot] com?" #petpeve
    Aaron Parecki
@twaddington Agreed. I stopped doing that and other obfuscation techniques when I started forwarding everything to Gmail.

Once the technical stuff is done, it feels like you're almost finished. But at least 2/3 of the work is the interface.
    Aaron Parecki
@adamd Then after the dev and interface, there's the marketing. I always forget the marketing.

i don't think getting people to update their status in google like they do FB/Twitter is a trivial matter
    Aaron Parecki
@marshallk I don't want to update my status on another place, i.e. google. I wouldn't mind google pulling automatically from Twitter tho.

    that's right @progrium, RelMeAuth (nice suggestion) works for any #OAuth + rel-me site, and enables auto-fallback ... http://ttk.me/t4416
    Aaron Parecki
@t @ptarjan That process sounds like it would place a huge burden on the site trying to authenticate the user... cont: http://aaronparecki.com/RelMeAuth
