@jmk it's sort of an unwritten rule. but pay attention to commercial doors and you'll notice the pattern.

@jmk The UI standard for doors is a horizontal bar for push and a vertical handle for pull. It's awkward to use doors that break this rule!

@aaronpk No need for a lawyer when the GPL is already written :) Give your users rights, don't take them away.
    Aaron Parecki
@aaronjorbin This is for a SaaS project. The users don't care about the source code, but we do. I use the LGPL when I can.

Fax machines are easy to use, but require specialized hardware, and fax spam sucks. I also feel like a big, fat luddite when I use one.
    Aaron Parecki
@thebuckley The alternative to fax machines is worse. scanner + computer + drivers + software + email. #icantbelieveimdefendingfaxmachines

@aaronpk True. But does it truely not matter either way? What looks better when giving out my number? 8675309 or 123myname?
    Aaron Parecki
@lvidmar i was being a bit cynical. i would go with a significant number over a word. if your name happens to be a cool number, then awesome

Just got my #googlevoice invite. Can't decide between an easy to remember local number, or a pronounceable far-away one. Thoughts?
    Aaron Parecki
@lvidmar nobody will remember your phone number anyway, they'll just stick it in their cell phone and never type it again
