  • At the end of the week, I take all the CSA veggies left and turn them into a giant soup and freeze it. This will pay off in the winter!

  • All loaded up for tomorrow! Slushie machine on the back rack, sink on the front rack!

  • Believe it or not, I was not the bleepiest or bloopiest on the Bleeps and Bloops ride. These are some amazing rigs!
  • Today I had a crew come and replace the water heater! The old one was from 2008, and apparently at the end of its expected lifetime. Rather than wait until it blew up and turned into an emergency, I had it replaced. The new one is a heat pump water heater! And since it's in the same room as my servers, it acts as an air conditioner for the space too! It will always have an abundant supply of warm air from the servers in the room, and I will always be happy to have it cool the space down.

  • Doing the very important work of testing if the slushie machine works on the battery and how long it will last in prep for the Grilled by Bike ride this weekend
  • Wired up the low voltage box by the electrical panel!
  • Finished all the coax connections!
  • Finished the network closet and got the new switches up and running!
  • I'm testing some fruit leather recipes. The only fruit is apples, and I added some sour apple flavoring and citric acid. The one on the left is just apples and flavoring. The middle one I added vegetable glycerin. It thickens it up a lot, it's still leathery but has more heft to it. It's also a little easier to chew. The one on the right has vegetable glycerin as well as pea protein powder. The pea protein gives it some real substance, and also turns it from leathery to more like a jelly candy. I wouldn't describe it as fruit leather, but it's a really good snack still.
  • look how official! Now we have a wired fire alarm system!
