Hacked together a quick bookmarklet so I can get a keyboard shortcut to reply to people' #indieweb notes!
The trick is that you can add a custom search engine in Chrome (right click on the URL bar and click "edit search engines" to see how many you already have!) but instead of defining a URL pattern, you can put in Javascript!
Now once I'm on a URL I'm replying to, I type "r" in the URL bar and it jumps over to my site! The result:

Monoculture doesn't work on the public web, why should it work in the enterprise? Just because we /can/ push a technology top down within an org doesn't mean we should, and certainly doesn't mean it will actually be used much less enjoyed. #osfw3c

The last day of #osfw3c is wrapping up with the creator of http://schema.org to address the patent concerns brought up yesterday. He drove up from Google this morning.

Had a #dream about an android who felt the uncanny valley around humans. It was fascinating to hear her describe the feeling, and she wanted to make sure I wasn't offended by her comments the whole time.

The Google Voice iPhone app found a very clever way to make calls.
When calling someone, it used to first call you, you'd answer and then it would ring the other person.
Now it seems to make a request to the GV servers and dynamically allocate a phone number to your target, then it tells your iPhone to dial the temporary number which they forward on to your target's phone number.
The end result is seamless! Go to the GV app and dial a number, and it Just Works™ -

Edited a video on my phone in under 5 minutes complete with splicing, transitions and a background track. This would have taken at least 2 hours 10 years ago. We're living in the future now! #imovie
