That's all conservatism is anymore: "I want the world to be the way I thought it was when I was 8. It doesn't matter whether it was really that way or not, all that matters is that I don't like being a grown-up dealing with a big, complicated world and someone's gonna pay."

We haven't seen anything genuinely useful come out of the year+ of web3 hype. Either innovate or go sell your stuff to Wall Street. Which is where this stuff actually works.

Reminder that you should own & host your content (if you can) - even if you use socials to amplify it, social media shouldn't be where it lives - Twitter, Instagram, etc are ephemeral and so incredibly short form and gets swept away in a raging river of content.

I've worked on a number of high-profile failures:

    - Lytro lightfield cameras
    - Google Glass head-mounted computer
    - Google Clips automatic photographer

They all had a fatal flaw. Everyone saw the flaw. But the culture that arose in these teams purposefully ignored the flaw. 1/n
