This is a good call-out: since you can't predict future changes to timezone polygons, solving this problem perfectly likely requires saying "I will meet you on 5 March 2050 at 6pm in whatever timezone currently applies at 40.273502, -86.126976"

Several years into GDPR, it remains fucking bonkers in practice. Every site on the internet gets an awful pop-up that no one reads and clicks anything to make it go away as quickly as possible. It’s an idea that 100% backfired and is pointless and makes every website worse.

I know they meant it negatively, but I kinda felt like, “if that can mean doing a good job at audio, video, lighting, preproduction, editing, AND on camera presenting, then that’s a pretty awesome skill set that probably not a lot of people have.”

Micro Camp March 2022, in-person in Portland. It was a treat to be in the same room with people I feel like I already know, as well as others I’ve missed.

We will do some kind of in-person component for the next Micro Camp. I’d love to help people organize locally.
