Imagine the default was that you had to give all seminars speaking through a cardboard tube, and you could pay $100 to remove the tube for the seminar. Would you do it?

Something tangentially related that I've been looking into is the indieweb movement. The idea is that you self publish what would be your tweets or w/e on your own site, and syndicate it to social media, taking control of your data away from corporate platforms.

I love when a friend tries to pitch me on an open role at their company as though they haven’t spent years of our friendship outlining every organizational flaw in graphic detail.

If YouTube & TikTok were both restaurants:

#YouTube brings you a full menu, tells you about today’s specials and waits for you to order.

#TikTok mostly serves appetizers and starts handing them to you the minute you walk in.

It’s all about which experience you prefer

If you are hiking in a group and waiting for slower people to catch up, don't start walking again when they do catch up, because then you got a rest and they didn't.
