Word of the day is the German ‘Verschlimmbesserung’: an attempted improvement that only makes matters worse.

If you’re looking for a more pronounceable English equivalent, to ‘arsle’ is to shuffle inevitably backwards.

I like to imagine they had no idea how to integrate payment systems, so every time I buy groceries Amazon creates a gift card for the purchase amount which is then used immediately. Every banana purchase is like a little birthday party!

was talking with event organizer friends about what goes into a perfect conference experience for attendees and only realizing later that listing out each step on how to design a great conference was remarkably similar to a punch list of how one would start a cult.

My “either everyone is crazy or I am” cultural phenomenon that I don’t get is the Apple Watch.

Why pay $300 for a new source of daily battery anxiety, incomprehensible complications, and 30 apps you never use?

Been giving it a shot from series 1 to 6 but it’s still subpar.
