Fun fact: since starting at @okta I’ve learned SO much from @aaronpk! His workshops & talks cover really complex topics in a way that makes sense, even to someone like me who (I’m ashamed to admit) barely writes code any more. This is a good intro:

& @vibronet will give a don’t-miss talk on OAuth & OpenID Connect. These two are such experts and have a great vibe (check out a OAuth Happy Hour to see what I mean)!

If the Feds just put a social app product manager in charge of vaccines, we would be done in a week. They would just use some asshole dark pattern, like distributing tax refunds only at vaccination sites.

The whole country would be vaccinated and we could move on with our lives.

@sonos, if you're serious about preventing "further entrenching the dominance of the very few" (your quote), open up and work together with other players in the home – locally. The API is there, you just need to flip the switch to allow anyone to implement it. We're ready for it.

A "podcast" behind a paywall is not a podcast.

A "podcast" that only one app can receive is not a podcast.

A "podcast" without a public feed that can be freely pulled into any podcast client or RSS reader is not a damn podcast, don't let people get away with calling it that.

Despite claims of “decentralization”, the cryptocurrency industry is controlled by a powerful cartel of wealthy figures who, with time, have evolved to incorporate many of the same institutions tied to the existing centralized financial system they supposedly set out to replace.

Cryptocurrency is like taking the worst parts of today's capitalist system (eg. corruption, fraud, inequality) and using software to technically limit the use of interventions (eg. audits, regulation, taxation) which serve as protections or safety nets for the average person.
