I just heard Laurie Santos on Unladylike talking about "time confetti." She said we actually have more spare time than we did 10 years ago, but that it comes in tiny, seemingly useless chunks - 5 minutes before a Zoom, etc. She suggested making a list... (1/2)

.@cnn has now confirmed what I wrote 4 days ago, that CP shut down pipeline because they couldn't bill customers. Per CNN: "The company halted operations because its billing system was compromised...and they were concerned they wouldn't be able to figure out how much to bill"

The pipeline was fine the whole time. They just couldn’t accurately bill customers so they cut fuel to most of the Eastern seaboard.

Is this becoming a thing? Using #Figma as an endpoint instead of a design and prototyping tool?

A local café uses it to show its up-to-date menu.

The pumpkin bread was gone already, and minutes later, when I checked again, taken off the menu. More complicated if you use a PDF.

Real talk: This pandemic has fundamentally shaken my faith in human nature.

I used to think that at our core, people were basically good. What we’ve been shown is that huge portions of the American population, disproportionately white men, are aggressively suicidally selfish.
