We have a squeaky bathroom door, so I thought we need to oil it.

Then I realised there are a few other doors in the house that need oiled.

Then I thought "wouldn't it be cool if I could pour oil down one pipe and oil all the doors at once"

That's how software engineers think.

And that’s exactly why I haven’t done it yet. I bet a lot of the fun goes out when it’s actually work.

I picked a bad time to quit drinking a decade ago

It turns out a planner with an hourly calendar matters approximately zero when:

- I work fully remote
- time doesn't really exist anymore???

Is buying a new planner every time I have major life upheavals a personality trait at this point?

This is my configuration today for guesting on @thatcrtvlife podcast with @saradietschy. I had a lot of fun, but this setup definitely got a little "undone". 😜🤓👍

Be careful - if you plan to feed audio from the F6 to camera 3.5mm microphone input, there's a known issue where you'll get plenty of noise. Not an issue on cameras like GH5S which can take line level audio. Only for cameras with mic level only inputs.

PS Aaron, ATEM doesn’t need to program@existing buttons. It could just have a set of function keys that are unused by default like a tv remote.

If you are presenting content online w/o any audience interaction... you should call that “making a video” and stop doing it live over Zoom. Learn to edit, get a camera, start making something actually watchable.

Talking over text-laden PowerPoint slides was never a good idea.
