A couple weeks back my system font turned into a bunch of boxes. It was...alarming.

Practically every conversation I've had in this new year has eventually hit on, "I had no idea how burnt out I was at the end of last year." Followed by a knowing and commiserating nod from the other side of the table.

Just mixed myself a perfect whiskey sour:

2oz. bourbon whiskey
¾ oz lemon juice
¾ oz simple syrup
1 egg white

Shake with ice. Strain into a chilled glass. I used a stevia/erythritol sweetener instead of sugar to keep it keto friendly. Delish!

I wanted @aaronpk to go to the store for nacho ingredients. He was under a sleeping cat (and obviously couldn't move because that's illegal) so I shook the bag of treats and she came running.
I still feel bad I disturbed a sleeping cat due to laziness.

Decided to re-activate my @Flickr Pro.
New owner @SmugMug has been around for years and is passionate about photos. One example: “We are actively saving accounts for photographers who are no longer with us”.

Dear @Flickr, here are a few more to save. I lost a good friend last year (flic.kr/cindyli @CindyLi enwp.org/Cindy_Li), another the year before (flic.kr/bmindful @tedr), and another years ago (flic.kr/thebrad). I’m sure there are many more early Flickr users who have since passed away. Please speak-up if you know of any.

Flickr already has the best API of any photo site, and thus has the best Brid.gy support for IndieWeb sites wanting to syndicate to Flickr, and backfeed responses.

I have more positive thoughts about @Flickr’s future potential with its new owners, especially with respect to even better IndieWeb integration.  More on that later. For now, see the additional research and links being collected and documented by the IndieWeb Community:
