The #indieweb movement (which I love and support) gets marginalized by this 'only makes sense if it's a viable company' metric. Early internet was crazy, I get it (Aristotle/Gopher/Web/etc) these things are never easy. Just surprised so few WANT something more open

Our city is getting Bird scooters. The 'charger' role is really intresting, get paid to collect, charge, and distribute. https://sidehusl.com/bird/

We’re finally finished removing jQuery from http://GitHub.com frontend. What did we replace it with? No framework whatsoever:

    • querySelectorAll,
    • fetch for ajax,
    • delegated-events for event handling,
    • polyfills for standard DOM stuff,
    • CustomElements on the rise.

  • I ran some errands today, and listened to a batch of microcasts. Yay, microcast.club and @aaronpk!

However, I was constantly adjusting the volume between podcasts. Here is a good introduction to Loudness Units relative to Full Scale aka LUFS, which Auphonic can set for you, btw.

Today I improved the flow when logging in from micropub clients to Ekster. Now you continue with the Indieauth when you aren't logged in. Also now the app name and logo are shown when you login with a Micropub client. https://p83.nl/p/813

Another one that is highly confusing, is when someone typos "not" instead of "now" (and vice versa). Ex: "We can not access v2 of the API."

That's led to some very misunderstood conversations...
