@aaronpk oh goodness. I stayed at one of those in Redwood City. I heard rats in the walls, and someone tried to break into my laptop when I wasn't there (the hotel claimed the cleaning lady thought someone had left something in the room so went through my stuff - according to the police report)
lol oh gosh. Well I haven't left my room since I got here and I'm not leaving until I check out in the morning. The small benefits of a one night stay. -

I used to have to hassle the corporate travel system, to get them to allow me to stay in a cute chalet-style Inn in Switzerland that was a quarter of the price of the shitty business hotel that they wanted to put me in in Geneva for the whole weekend.
Yeah if this was more than a one night stay, or if I were doing this regularly, I would make a better plan -

@aaronpk next time, check out the coastside. Pacifica to Half Moon Bay. Hotels are a little cheaper, and there’re some good Airbnb. :-)

Also I have to use the company portal to book hotels. There are only 2 options showing up, which I could have done, but also would have added $100 in Lyft rides -
This hotel room is trying real hard to not be a sad motel on the side of the highway in a San Francisco suburb.
Also, no I am not here for DreamForce, but that is why I am stuck at a hotel out here instead of the $2000/night downtown hotels.
