@aaronpk Some sort of metallic object at a consistent height that you’ll remember for locating studs. It could be something as simple as a nail at doorknob height on all of them. Extra points if you can figure out some sort of way to note where your wires and pipes are, like maybe a magnet flipped so that it repels when you use a stud finding magnet. If I could make any upgrade to the walls of my house, that would be it by a mile.
@aaronpk if you're going to have a wired security system, having the security company installer come and do that before the walls closed up would be good.
@aaronpk yes - we added them when we renovated the bathroom and it's great. Also a power outlet by the toilet for a heated toilet seat, and another inside of the bathroom cabinet for charging razors (so they don't have to be out on the countertop all of the time).
@aaronpk also: speaker wire for wherever you will want speakers. We put ceiling mounted speakers above the sink in our master bathroom and they get used daily.
@aaronpk if your internets will be delivered by your cable tv provider, make sure you have a path for that cable... otherwise the cable company will just butcher your house when they do their install
