Pretty neat trick Wordle used to migrate everyone's saved game state:

The main Wordle site was replaced with a bit of JS that grabs the game data from LocalStorage and puts it in the query string when redirecting to nytimes.

Also notable: that code is vanilla JS, no libraries!

When was the last time you used a point-and-shoot camera (no interchangeable lenses, not a smartphone)?

I actually really like my Sony ZV-1. I know everyone is always talking about how great iPhone cameras are, but even the ZV-1 gets so much better photos and videos. (With the exception of night mode, that thing is magic on the iPhone.)

anyone catch how Wordle transmitted streaks/solve data to the NYT? it’s all local storage so it must be picking it up on load of the original site and moving it right? I got forwarded on my phone so I can’t tell what was sent in the network request

I see a bunch of game state in the URL when I was redirected. Pretty clever!

This microphone sounds great and looks incredible! 😍

It's a USB-C mic with built in storage for on-board recordings, and you can also use it as a headphone jack for an iPad! I just posted a video going over all the features of the mic, so be sure to check it out on my channel! Thanks to @tula.mics for sending this over to check out!

I remember the first time I met OAuth. It was at a conference and I didn't know anyone. I was standing in a hallway to go to the bathroom and someone came up to me and said, "Hi, I'm OAuth."
