All in all – a multi-channel approach / omni-channel approach to community building, making sure that everyone can engage in some way and that everyone feels included, yet that there is good progress.

    Also, here's Loqi himself: https://indieweb.org/Loqi

A well maintained and curated wiki combined with the brainstorming-enabling, always-logged, searchable IRC (that is bridged to Slack, and Discord) is surprisingly nice.

Thanks for expanding beyond the poll.

I'm wondering if it isn't too much distributed for folks to actually get a grip on this? if I were joining a community and needed to follow on all of these mediums I'd probably get lost at some point
    Aaron Parecki
IMO it's the opposite. If a community has only one platform I end up overwhelmed by how much discussion is all in one place. Separating it out means you can tune in to just the conversations that are relevant.

    Discord/IRC + a wiki + GitHub repos + GitHub issues?

I think the @indiewebcamp / @microformats community has a very good setup for this

Hey, so we XR folks talk a lot about standards-based auth and id but I often see a blind spot about how it currently works for enterprises using the web. Aaron knows his stuff and Okta is a nexus which will probably play a part of any future immersive web.

Today we’re joined by Aaron Parecki, co-founder of IndieWebCamp and maintainer of OAuth.net, for a deep dive on the state of OAuth 2.0 and what’s next in OAuth 2.1. We cover the complications of OAuth, RFCs like Proof Key for Code Exchange, also known as PKCE, OAuth for browser-based apps, and next generation specs like the Grant Negotiation and Authorization Protocol, also known as GNAP. The conversation begins with how Aaron experiments with the IndieWeb as a showcase of what’s possible.

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
