POWER TIP: When creating content, start by thinking about the TAKEAWAY, and then reverse engineer the steps, stories, case studies, etc. to get them there.

Then, create an awesome hook to start the piece to keep them in.

    Try it!

"Quoteback" certainly looks like a cross between #webmention and #oembed but mostly webmention indeed. It'd be nice if the underlying workings were compatible - win-win, right?
    Aaron Parecki
It seems like Quoteback is a tool to make fancy looking blockquotes that you can put into your own blog post? If your blog sends webmentions then it would Just Work™ right?

Why is it hard to understand Jews have been victims of and beneficiaries of white supremacy? (also worth noting, “I don’t remember rioting about it either” is an anti-Semitic trope that we were/are passive and needed Gentiles to save us, when we absolutely resisted)
    Aaron Parecki
I mean yes, but I don't think this is the biggest issue at the moment?

Truth be told, if this many streamers and content creators don’t know rules and laws for DMCA when it’s directly related to their “Job”

I’m scared of the IRS cracking down in 1-5 years for all the content creators who prob aren’t doing their taxes right... 👀

Easily rename your Git default branch from master to main - Scott Hanselman

    June 8th, 2020

    Nice and straightforward. Locally:

git branch -m master main git push -u origin main

    Then on the server:

git branch -m master main git branch -u origin/main

On github.com, go into the repo’s settings and update the default branch.

    Thanks for this, Scott!

    P.S. Don’t read the comments.

When a cop who violently beats the people he ostensibly serves is greeted by the cheers of fellow cops, it’s pretty strong evidence that the whole fucking barrel of apples is spoiled.

I’ve been using “Clipboard History" for years. It’s acting up a bit… went to see if there’s a new version… last updated 8 years ago. Oh. Guess it’s time for a replacement. Anyone got a favorite clipboard history manager for macOS? https://apps.apple.com/us/app/clipboard-history/id420939835?mt=12
    Aaron Parecki
It's plaintext only, but I'm a huge fan of Flycut.

All week conservatives have been RTing protest images like “I guess social distancing is done” look if I do end up getting covid it’ll be from changing legislation and getting these cops charged. Not cause I wanted to drink at Dave & Busters
