Well of course living smack in the middle of a city will most likely cost. I'm sure in a average neighborhood most could be per square foot is $80
    Aaron Parecki
yeah, totally depends on the city. in any case I'd start by asking friends in the area for recommendations of contractors, and keep getting referrals til you find a general contractor or builder who you can talk to.

Hi if you have white privilege you can't renounce or ditch it.

Entire systems and structures have been set up to give you unearned advantages. Many of the conditions of yr life, education, career, health, home, etc have unearned advantages.

Face this, AND do antiracist work.

Yeah I get this too. When we’re discussing “white privilege” we have to define the term. Every time. That’s why I like the thing I’ve seen lately, “white privilege doesn’t mean your life hasn’t been hard. It means skin color wasn’t one of the things making it harder.” Yoink!

It took 10 days and protests in all 50 states for them to announce charges for all 4 police officers that murdered George Floyd

    Black Lives Matter.

That's an objective truth. It baffles me that it is considered a controversial/political statement in an industry that prides itself on logic and facts.

#TechTwitter, we need to do better.

@NotionHQ how do I request a review for a page that was flagged as unsafe? I have a list of the gear I use for streaming shared (https://www.notion.so/jlengstorf/My-Livestreaming-Setup-9268f4e8e7fa4388bec915777735ad82) but it's been flagged as unsafe — these aren't even affiliate links, so I'm not sure what tripped the algorithm?

Even in my darkest moments in 2016, I didn't picture myself in 2020 casually telling Matt that I'm making dinner from our pandemic rations because I forgot to get groceries before the police curfew.

marcus.io · Making RSS more visible again with a /feeds page

    June 3rd, 2020

Personal website owners – what do you think about collecting all of the feeds you are producing in one way or the other on a /feeds page?

Sounds like a good idea! I’ll get on that.

Woke up. Checked the news. Yup, racism is still wrong and half our country is more focused on temporary property damage than the permanent erasure of Black American lives at the hands of law enforcement.

Most of the protestors are COMPLETELY PEACEFUL. Can't you focus on that?
