It turns out that youtube-dl has a "--mark-watched" parameter that I believe will track the download as a view :)

I have a small number of YouTube channels and creators that I enjoy following, but I really dislike the experience of using YouTube on the web and on iOS. So, I whipped up a script that automatically downloads YouTube content and adds it to my Plex server. So much better!
I was doing that for a while, but I want to make sure that my views are counted so that the creators get the credit (and ad revenue) and I'm not sure that downloading it that way still counts it.
I do pay for Premium so I can download in the YouTube app for offline watching, which does contribute to the view count. -

There must be a way to make a new social media platform where everyone hosts their own data that's basically just run on RSS feeds. But supports comments, likes, sharing etc. Like RSS+. -

Does anyone know, can the GH5S be powered while in use through the USB port or do you need a dummy battery?
@thisistechtoday you have a GH5S right?
I didn’t think it could but also I can’t remember the last time I tried. I have a dummy battery for it but now I’m gonna try the USB mode when I get home -
