oh wow yeah, I can see how that would be incredibly confusing. Well for the record, OAuth secrets are absolutely supposed to be secret, and we have different solutions for deployments that can't keep secrets.

Modern software tooling is amazing. I can go from zero to working thing that I don't understand at all and have zero chance of debugging in a timely fashion quicker than you can say "thank god I don't have to support this thing".

Controversial opinion: recurring payment are an anti-pattern.

If a product/service does not have enough value to justify a quick "one click" checkout on a monthly basis, then anything recurring is rent seeking.

I know of at least one other person who shares this opinion :-)

Working on a little display that will sit in a picture frame and show my next upcoming flight!

Powered by a raspberry pi which parses the flights from the microformats on my website, and shows either the next upcoming trip, or if I'm currently away, shows the details of the flight home.

This e-paper display is really nice looking too!

Having one of those moments where I feel like I need to tear up my entire office and living room and reorganize things and get rid of clutter, but that is not a project I should start at 5pm on a Sunday

Update: I spent an hour cleaning and organizing, and ended up with two bags to take to goodwill. Not bad.
