Looking for a simple hub for my new home office. I want USB-C to my computer and then 4x USB-C and USB-A ports on the hub. Nothing else (HDMI, Ethernet, microSD, etc.). I can’t find anything!
I've looked for that kind of thing too! I think USB-C is still too new and nobody is making hubs that provide additional USB-C outputs! -

What drives me crazy about YouTube is after all this time I still don’t understand how it actually works.
I feel like a mouse in a test pushing the button hoping it’s a treat and not a shock.
And I’m not complaining about revenue that’s been having a field day.
YouTube 🤷♂️
I think even Google doesn't know how YouTube works -

@aaronpk the ESPs are rock solid for me too. After a year I got a lot of problems with the 433 things and moved on to Zigbee devices which have been working for almost two years flawlessly.
Oh no really? What kind of problems did you have with the 443 things? Those have been the easiest to deal with so far. -

Hmm that's not good. I did notice there's probably a bug with how it reports the case where it can't find the link from your site. Will take a closer look shortly. -

Adding a couple new sensors tonight. Attempting a sound level sensor (should report roughly how noisy it is inside), and a color temperature sensor, which I'm hoping can tell me how cloudy it is outside and how much sun is coming in the window.
Update:
Not getting anything off the sound sensor yet. Will have to debug with a multimeter next.
Light sensor is up and running with the default config, and will take a look at the results after 24 hours. There's a setting to control how long the "shutter" stays open, so we'll see if the default 2.4ms is good for detecting daylight. -

@aaronpk I found this gentleman on YouTube and this video (skip to :58) helped me understand what was possible. I am not a Dev (only a cobbler growth marketer) and I also build chatbots for business, so the "flows" make sense.
Prepping for a new house so nothing "production" yet.
Thanks for the recommendation! That video did an excellent job of giving me an intro! This looks like exactly the kinds of chained rules I want to make, and was really struggling with doing it via just YAML in Home Assistant.
