Just made two bots for @xoxo! They are only followable from Mastodon/etc right now.

ShuttleBot will post a stream of updates about where the two shuttles are during the festival: ShuttleBot@shuttle.xoxofest.com

XOXO_toots will boost toots from attendees that mention "xoxo", just like https://twitter.com/xoxofest_tweets does on Twitter!

This has been quite an experiment in diving into ActivityPub the last couple days.

Looking forward to seeing people at @xoxo later this week. Let me know if you’ll be there and don’t be afraid to come and say hi - I’m far to shy to start any conversations myself xx

People often wonder why printers are so cantankerous but frankly any device that embeds pigmented runes in the remains of long-dead trees is going to be stricken by an ancient faerie curse from the start

@aaronpk yes. There is an update in the store that fixes this.

One of us will post a report on the Hello Code blog sometime soon.

Ah man. Had a big fuck-up with our iOS app overnight and had to pull it from the store and expedite an update. I really don't want to have to explain what happened, but what you're most scared of telling users is probably what they most deserve to hear, right...?

    Aaron Parecki
Definitely a good idea to be transparent. People will understand.

This must be related to the problem I just had which is the app asked me to log in and then gets stuck in a login loop.

If there is some security issue, I definitely want to know so that I can decide what action if any I need to take based on what information may be exposed.

I have Paprika, and I like the meal planner interface, I’ve just not collected enough recipes or written mine down for it to be useful. So maybe I just need to collect recipes and start editing for my own style and taste.

    Aaron Parecki
Yeah, it definitely takes a while for that to be useful. The interface is very good at adding recipes from websites though so it's not too bad to populate it!

I may or may not be looking at recipe APIs for building a meal planner.
    Aaron Parecki
I went down this rabbit hole a little bit ago... Try Paprika though, it's really well done.

I’m late to the party, but The 100 Day Project sounds fun. Has anyone tried this before?

    Aaron Parecki
I did one last year where I wrote a 20-60 second song every day for 100 days! It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun! https://100.aaronparecki.com

When I’m not working on Pico or going to conferences, I do my actual job, which usually involves working on Exist for iOS. I’m currently working on bringing correlations to the iOS app FINALLY. I’m really excited to share this with our users.
