Says @t: “just start”. Start posting on your own site. #indieweb readers and platforms are available. I helped build one publishing platform: Known can be grabbed at https://github.com/idno/known #dwebsummit

We thought the web would be peer to peer, but we wound up being clients on a small number of servers. The #indieweb is part of the answer: use your own site as your social and identity hub instead, says @t. #dwebsummit https://indieweb.org

Ever since Donut.js has had live captions for their talks every month, I've been curious about how people can learn to type that fast. That led me down quite the rabbit hole of internet research, where I stumbled into the open source stenography community, largely pioneered by Mirabai Knight, who does the captions for Donut.js! (small world!)

Your Endpoint Did Not Return a Location Header

    Aaron Parecki
Thanks for writing this up! I've made some minor changes to how Quill displays error messages now, as well as tweaked some copy to make it address users rather than developers.

Quill started out as a tool to help debug Micropub implementations, so all the copy was phrased to address the developer of a Micropub endpoint. That was before https://micropub.rocks existed. Quill later evolved to be a much more robust client that can create a bunch of kinds of content, and I hadn't yet gone back through and updated the text.

It's clear this has become necessary, so hopefully these changes make a difference now!

So in the bot cull discourse on birdsite right now @darius mentioned making your social network support rss feeds and like.. if I could follow rss feeds on Mastodon the same way I follow individual users that would be pretty huge for me. Or like have a separate column that just displays rss updates.
