    Thanks! My current Macbook has a iCore 7 and Thunderbolt ports, but my next Macbook will only have USB-C. I'm getting an AGPteK http://amzn.to/2oWWGsN on loan for the weekend but may order one of these solutions soon.
    Aaron Parecki
    Only the 15" Pro has a quad core CPU so that's the only one the Elgato will work on. Can confirm it does not work on a 13" Pro. Your best bet would probably be to get a USB-C to Thunderbolt converter and the Blackmagic.

    @aaronpk Any recommendations for streaming HDMI (Sony Handycam) to USB3.0 & OBS that doesn't cost more than $150? I want to stream paintings and other creative endeavors but the iPhone is too limited on focal range.
    Aaron Parecki
    Do you have Thunderbolt? This is the best if so: http://amzn.to/2FvbepG Otherwise you're going to need a quad-core CPU and then you can use http://amzn.to/2oXJ0Oh

    OpenID != Open ID Connect?
    Just learning about authentication, OAuth, and OpenID Connect and purchased your book!
    Aaron Parecki
    Thanks! OpenID Connect is actually OAuth 2 plus an identity layer, and has nothing to do with OpenID 1. While useful, OIDC doesn't solve the same bring-your-own-identity goals that OpenID 1 did.

    @aaronpk no need to apologise, it's amazing and hope to be able to contribute. I'm not sure about the Notifications channel is that specifically to set up feeds you want alerts from like social mentions etc? So can I set up a feed that needs an Auth token passed in the header?

    Aaron Parecki
    That's the idea yeah! Still very much in the works, and I'm experimenting with a few different ways of handling it. Right now I have my webmentions going into that channel. It would be totally appropriate if you wanted to add a private feed into that channel!

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
