Doesn't work with the 2016 13" MacBook ProThis would be such a great device, but unfortunately it doesn't work on the 2016 13" MacBook Pro. Apparently it requires a quad-core processor, and the 13" only has two cores. Everything else about the device is great though. My mac did recognize it without installing any drivers, but the video was stuttering a lot. I just wish they could have made it work on dual-core machines.

@aaronparecki.com I like the idea of a motion detector. Amazon AWS released these inexpensive cameras with onboard ML/AI a few months ago. Maybe I’ll give that a spin.
I have the same layout in my living/dining/kitchen, so I’d have to get creative.
well that's an idea... train it to recognize whether there is a person in the kitchen. That seems doable actually! -

@aaronparecki.com Haha, same issue here. It’s a bit too aggressive on transitions at the moment, too. I’m thinking of adding a delay or some additional smarts. Fun stuff. Are you using homebridge?
Nah, I have Hue lights which have a nice (local) hub with an HTTP API, so I made a little PHP script that Plex hits as a web hook and it talks to the Hue bridge directly.
I'm not sure what other information I could use to avoid blacking out the room at inopportune times. Maybe a motion sensor in the kitchen? Tho my kitchen and living room are basically the same room. Maybe a motion sensor aimed just at the kitchen counter? -

Outfitted the remaining shared spaces in my house with Lutron Caseta dimmers and switches today. Oh, and for good measure, I set up an automation to dim my lights when I start watching something on @Plex in my living room. 🤩🎉
Yes! I have my lights set to turn to a certain scene when Plex starts, pauses, and stops! It's the best. Only trick is when I watch something while chopping food and then I can't see!

I have enabled an extremely basic processing and display of two types of posts - likes and replies. However, am still not sure the possible activity types as responses from http://webmention.io in documentation. Any idea aaronpk? #journal
