@aaronpk Mr Parecki, have you ever found a suitable replacement for the EyeFi X2 line?
    Aaron Parecki
@rahlquist I haven't found anything quite like the X2, but I've been using the new Mobi line without the "cloud". It uploads to my computer.

    Dropping .host-meta from WebSub

Does anyone know of any actual *live* implementations of WebSub (or PubSubHubbub, any version) that use the .host-meta method of advertising the hub URL, or any consumers that check for it? I did a bit of looking around at some of the major players and couldn't find any that did. If you know of a publisher or consumer that supports it, please share the URL to it.

@nightpool Evan Prodromou, who wrote OStatus and the majority of StatusNet (which is what became GNU Social) is co-chair. I'm MediaGoblin co-founder. Some others are part of the IndieWeb group. @wilkie wrote OStatus. We've had, at times, people from Diaspora and OwnCloud/NextCloud active, and are actively talking to them and people from OStatus land now. It's not divorced.

Also at the beginning I actively tried to get people from Diaspora and GNU Social to join.

Finally packaged up my HTTP functions into a library! https://github.com/aaronpk/p3k-http Previously I had been copy+pasting these around to quite a few projects. Happy to have consolidated these finally!

    API when?
    Aaron Parecki
@stevenf If you look closely, the web page just makes an API call to read a JSON file. I would say it's an... "unofficial" API at best tho.

Well put, Colin. A platform like Micro.blog has a great deal of potential to advance the adoption of IndieWeb building blocks like Micropub, IndieAuth, Webmention, and mf2, even if the users of Micro.blog don't know or understand any of the underlying foundations. Why? User experience! Micro.blog is simply leveraging IndieWeb technology and standards to build a platform that makes users happy. While Micro.blog is a great step forward for the IndieWeb, I still believe that the holy grail is getting native support for IndieWeb deep within WordPress core, including broad support from themes. WordPress runs over 28% of all websites, and IndieWeb support in core could be the tipping point for broad adoption.
