Does anyone know what the requirements/server load are for running PostGIS with a low amount of data and traffic? /cc @doclements @aaronpk
    Aaron Parecki
@ShaneHudson I run a DB on a t1.micro and an m1.small. They are not super high traffic tho.

@aaronpk Apple really has not sunset Wifi. They are still (for the most part) broadcasting the WiFi Mac Address. http://www.imore.com/closer-look-ios-8s-mac-randomization

@jvreeland Regardless of what's actually happening, it was enough to cause this company to switch to iBeacon, which is the important part.

This says it all: "…after Apple announced they were sun-setting MAC address Wi-Fi triangulation, the two companies decided to adopt new Apple iBeacon standards…" http://techcrunch.com/2014/11/04/how-the-49ers-are-using-beacons-to-help-you-find-hot-dogs-and-beer/

    I totally called it: http://aaronparecki.com/articles/2014/06/09/1/ios8-wifi-changes-privacy-win-or-ibeacon-lock-in
