It would be really nice if you could spin up a new empty #MySQL server, say "slave to this master", and it would sync data automatically.

@evanpro take the opportunity when it's offline to build a new binary log so you can make new slaves while running in the future

@evanpro you can if you have the full binary log for the master. We set that up during our latest hardware upgrade.
