@arielwaldman I hear the best way to do it is to always have a bag packed so you can pick up and go on a moment's notice.

@aaronpk Also, when you take a midnight flight you don't have to wake up early. Well, depending upon your sleep schedule.
    Aaron Parecki
@adamd True. I think 6am is the worst possible flight time. Do I stay up until 4? take a 2-hour nap? #tomorrowisgonnasuck

@aaronpk Oh man! You still have that Dell? The one you held onto forever because the screen was high-res? That's pretty impressive.
    Aaron Parecki
@nickcummings That's the one! Aside from the broken CD drive, broken network card and loose monitor hinge it is still a half-decent machine!

In a somewhat short security line at the airport. @paigesaez is behind me.
    Aaron Parecki
@caseorganic Short security lines are one of the benefits of a midnight flight. I can't think of many others.

Just nursed my 7-year-old Dell laptop back to health. For how old and beat up it is, it's working surprisingly well.

I'm about to go with DreamHost because they advertise on TheDeck. Anyone have any other suggestions?
    Aaron Parecki
@lauramwebster Dreamhost is great. Super easy to use, pretty cheap, mostly reliable.

@kchrist I guess those people had read a book once in the 90s and then never bothered to learn anything new.

@jeremymeyers @twaddington @hsoj Yep, an UnrealIRCd server with some PHP and Perl IRC bots. IRC bots make great debugging tools!

Hey creatives—do you prefer paper or iPhone/Blackberry/whatever for scheduling and to-dos? Sway me in one direction or the other!
    Aaron Parecki
@lauramwebster I use Google Calendar exclusively for scheduling. I can access it from multiple computers and my phone, and share with others

Is the iPad just a big iPhone? http://camerondaigle.com/articles/podcamp_nashville_2010_presentation/ Interesting to consider UI differences when you don't have a cursor that can change state.

More businesses need high-res press packs on their site for doing print work. I don't want to print your 200-pixel-wide logo in a magazine.

    Aaron Parecki
@brennannovak I don't know, but if you find one let me know, it would be super useful!

Does anyone know of an app that will broadcast my GPS position 24/7 (i.e. not only when I check in)? Let me know.
    Aaron Parecki
    @TechWraith Try http://www.instamapper.com or http://trackr.eu. I've been using trackr.eu for almost 2 years. http://www.flickr.com/photos/aaronpk/4348490470/

@TrentonL Neat! My laser harp wasn't quite as high voltage as this tesla coil piano! http://www.break.com/index/tesla-coil-music-played-on-piano.html
