    @aaronpk that connector looks really silly. US plugs are something

    To be fair, this is not a "normal" plug in the US. This is rated for 240v 50a, our normal plugs are 120v 15a. This one is meant for hooking up an RV or boat to a generator. What would an equivalent look like in Germany?

      @aaronpk I know that it's not the regular one. In Germany you would probably see an IEC 60309 connection (but I'm pretty sure a wallbox for charging an electric car needs a permanent hookup), they are mostly used for three phase 400 volts connections (red), ranging from 16 to 125 amps. The blue single phase version is seldomly used.
