We received an email asking why Sunday's single lightning bolt over the Portland's West Hills was so incredibly loud. Thanks Bix for asking! It's an ~10x stronger "positive"polarity bolt than the far more frequent "negative" ones. Here's the details: https://www.weather.gov/jetstream/positive #ORwx
