I’m not sure what kind of HLS support is out there but you can start watching content that hasn’t downloaded fully (streaming?) as of now in most clients.

I wonder what would happen if you served an hls playlist of a livestream though. Would that work? Maybe 🤔

I believe @aaronpk was looking at something similar and got one a while ago!
    Aaron Parecki
I did! I found some very excellent plans for a DIY one, but the cost for the parts for the DIY version ended up being 3-4x the cost of this one! Not to mention it would also be approximately a million additional hours of work. So I bought that and it's been fantastic.

Latest toy, runs Linux, weighs 24kb and is the size of a TV with much less resolution. Writing bash scripts that make loud clicky noises is fun. Recommended.

I didn't realize you could get access to the Linux system on it... I've just been interacting with mine through their API. How'd you manage that?

In case you missed it, I posted a video with my 10 favorite tech/video purchases from 2021 on my YouTube!

I included only things that I actually bought myself, not including anything that was sent to me to review. I did get to review a lot of great gear too but that will be for another video.

Here's to another year of livestreams and video production!

Wow. No matter how far down i scroll, I can’t find a Twitter space that interests me. It’s all sports and NFTs.
At feature launch there was far more variety… another form of carcinization?
    Aaron Parecki
I didn't know you could scroll thru twitter spaces, I only ever see them when they pop up at the top of my Twitter Home Screen 😅
