    My main usage of it is as a GPS logger that I have total control over - I start an "outdoor walk" any time I'm out somewhere interesting and export the GPS points from the iPhone Health app later - 2.5m points and counting!

    What kind of resolution does that give you? I've still been running my iOS app for years because it's the only thing I've found that can track continuously and also give me 1 second resolution during transit

      I'm reasonably sure there isn't, sadly - about once a month I open the iOS Health app, hit export, Airdrop the zip file of XML to my laptop, run "healthkit-to-sqlite export-.zip healthkit.db" and scp the resulting database up to my private Dogsheep sever simonwillison.net/2021/Aug/22/we…

      That's excellent resolution! I don't suppose there's any way to get the data out of the watch/phone without some sort of manual effort?
