That we are still treating “name” and “date of birth” as security credentials for online voter registration in 2020 is just crazy. Oregon’s voter registration site was literally waiting to be hacked. Its also a pretty good reason why we are a long way away from online voting.

Attention Washington and Oregon friends: Due to last nights hack of the voter registration system you should check your voter reg is intact and correct (when the site comes back) It could have been deleted or invalidated. Please RT.

Thank you @vibronet for your OAuth 2.1 talk at #asc2020 I finally got around to watching the recording and I'm so glad I did. You squeezed a ton of really useful information into 30mins. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEUIsc6skJQ&list=PLcx_iGeB-Nxil4S7-0Y1Y5r0oLahy3f0Y&index=5 Now I need to go find out more about Credentialed Clients!

We just created PartyLine! It’s a website that pairs Americans across the political divide to voice-chat live.

Talk with someone who might be voting differently than you. 🌵🌲🌴🎙🇺🇸

@aaronpk Not that I'm an expert at soldering... but I believe you have to 'tin' your wire first - before you solder it to the thing you intend to connect it to.

"Tinning is a process of using a soldering iron to melt solder around a stranded electrical wire."
    Aaron Parecki
Yeah in any case that 12 gauge is way too thick to fit into the barrel jack so I need a smaller wire

LOL... to be fair, I haven't soldered anything since I was 16 years old.... but I guess it's a bit like riding a bicycle?!
    Aaron Parecki
If YouTube had existed when i was soldering at 16 I would be much better at it now
