I totally understand that many people can’t afford to buy every app they want, but my god WHAT is it with people complaining when an app costs money?! Do people think that developers write code for their own personal enjoyment? That software companies should somehow self fund? 🤯
    Aaron Parecki
for real! It's like people think because it's not a physical item it shouldn't cost anything.

The number of people who I know that are preparing for like end day scenarios keeps rising, lol. Like I got invited to learn more about ham radio systems (which I am kinda interested in) and some other stuff. The other stuff is what’s throwing me off.

This is HUGE if the internal hack is true. If an admin/employee panel gives direct access to users account at the level that allows them to tweet and pin tweets, you should SERIOUSLY reconsider what you do and what you post on twitter, as well as your future on the platform.

Yikes, strongest hypothesis is that the attackers have owned Twitter’s employee admin panel which allows Twitter employees ability to change pw/disable MFA to allow an attacker to take over a prominent account and tweet on their behalf without dealing with their password or MFA.

I thought it was a good thing to owe taxes instead of having some refunded or paying early? Essentially, avoiding giving the government a free loan or money early that could be invested.

Not a tax guy so I may have misunderstood.
    Aaron Parecki
technically the IRS doesn't want you to have to owe a chunk at tax time, which is why you're supposed to file quarterly. but also yes it's a "good" thing in that owing means you didn't loan your money at 0% to the IRS for the year.

Please remember that anyone telling you to change your password after this is gaslighting you (or, if you're the one doing the telling, you're victim blaming someone). The tech industry has better approaches to security than passwords, and 2FA/passwords didn't help here.
