There once was a company we hated,
    Our Internet access they gated.
    We might have had better,
    By working together,
But they emptied our wallets, unabated.

To follow up on my thoughts about conferences.

    1. The speaker perks were usually to get a T&E trip to a city to present. That will not happen for online events - how can conferences justify paying for a conference but not paying a speaker when they get nothing in return?

Ok Iโ€™m going to show a glimpse behind the curtain.

This might shock some of you.

But Gary(actually me) could not care less in anyway about video frame rates.

If you are uploading content to the internet itโ€™s absolutely the most ridiculous thing to waste brain power on.

Iโ€™ve been on a phone call meeting for 7 hours so far.

My blue tooth speaker died 2 hours in so Iโ€™ve been listening to the speaker phone of an iPhone 7 for 5 hours now with 2 more to go.

The Echo Show is great. But, @amazon: did you know that (a) this is a terrible way to have to login (especially for my mom), (b) there is a better way and (c) the majority of apps that run on your FireTV devices use it? (https://oauth.net/2/device-flow/)

Installed some HomeKit-compatible automatic blinds from IKEA today. They work fantastically well and look really nice, too. The installation process was easy, but the configuration was a bit of a nightmare. Still, recommended!
