are there any sort of “cards only” places out there in the world? Are there many establishments not accepting cards at all?

Most of the places in Sweden I went to a couple weeks ago didn't take cash at all. I didn't even get cash out of the ATM that trip and it was just fine! Even in the US there are definitely some shops that don't take cash.

Here in Singapore I've seen some cash only places, some cash or the Singapore NETS card, and some gladly take credit cards too. I haven't seen any here yet that don't take cash tho.
