Did I just watch a live-stream of Aaron dressed as a unicorn-cat, answering questions about OAuth? What just happened?

That last bit wasn't charitable. Facebook is a highly invasive birthday reminder service that lets you keep tabs on which high school friend is going bald at the cost of representative democracy.

The spec is literally the reason why microformats2 didn’t end up using `data-*` attributes. It isn’t “advice” in the spec; it *is* the spec. It specifies how `data-*` attributes should and shouldn’t be used.

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
