@aaronpk I found this gentleman on YouTube and this video (skip to :58) helped me understand what was possible. I am not a Dev (only a cobbler growth marketer) and I also build chatbots for business, so the "flows" make sense.

Prepping for a new house so nothing "production" yet.

Thanks for the recommendation! That video did an excellent job of giving me an intro! This looks like exactly the kinds of chained rules I want to make, and was really struggling with doing it via just YAML in Home Assistant.

  @aaronpk you got it. That channel is awesome for all this stuff, and he does a good job of shining a light on other creators by not reinventing videos that have been done well elsewhere and instead pointing to them.
