Electric scooters! Who has opinions on 'em?

I'm researching the small-wheeled sort being rolled out by Lime and other firms.

I want to hear from folks in cities where they've been deployed. What's it like? Hate it, love it, neutral?

I don't use them where I live, I ride my bike instead, but they are super convenient when I'm traveling! Less overhead than renting a bike when I'm out!
